🇷🇺 2. Information in Russian
All information on the label must be:
- provided in Russian or in the official language of the country where the product is marketed;
- clear, high-contrast and easy to read;
- printed with abrasion- and moisture-resistant ink.
💡 The text may also appear in other languages, but a Russian version is mandatory for goods circulating in the EAEU.
🏷️ 3. Placement of labeling
Labeling is placed on:
- the product itself,
- the label,
- the packaging,
- or a package insert if the information cannot be placed directly on the product.
📘 The main condition is that the data must be available before purchase and use.
🧴 4. Product name
The product name must be:
- reliable and not misleading;
- reflecting the actual composition, purpose and properties of the product;
- identical to the name indicated in the SGR documentation.
❌ Terms that create a misleading impression, such as “natural”, “therapeutic” or “environmentally friendly”, must not be used without supporting test evidence.
🧪 5. Information about the composition
Ingredients are listed in descending order of their proportion by mass.
For food and cosmetic products the following is additionally required:
- active ingredients;
- allergens;
- preservatives, flavorings or fragrances, and colorants, where present.

🏭 6. Information about the manufacturer and seller
The following must be indicated:
- the manufacturer’s full name;
- registered address and country of origin;
- contact information, such as a telephone number, website or email address;
- where necessary, details of the importer or distributor in Kazakhstan or another EAEU country.
This makes the product’s origin transparent and allows consumers to contact the supplier.
🕒 7. Expiry date and storage conditions
- The date must be stated using wording such as “Expires on…” or “Use by…”.
- For food and cosmetics, storage conditions must also be stated, including temperature, humidity and any need for protection from light.
📘 If the expiration date is incorrect, the product may be considered unsafe.
📦 8. Other information
Depending on the product category, labeling may also include:
- mass, volume, dimensions;
- methods of care or use;
- batch number or date of manufacture;
- barcode (EAN, UPC);
- warnings and precautions.
